Socaloca, a football application (App), was launched in Accra yesterday as part of efforts to revolutionise football and provide a platform for its management and promotion.
It would also provide a platform for football talents to reach out to the world and get exposed to clubs.
Speaking at the launch, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Socaloca, Lionel Foy, said the product would spark football growth and ensure that African players benefit from their talents.
“With Socaloca, every mobile phone is a level playing field from the grassroots to the top level. We would empower communities and put money back into African pockets and ensure Africa talents become the best,” he stressed.
Representing the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum, lauded the innovation, adding that it was important to invest in such platforms.
“Ghanaian teams must take advantage of such Apps to expose and market their talents. This is here to bridge the huge gap missing in our system and solve challenges with talent management and promotion,” he added.
Guest Speaker for the launch, Josiah Okoe Quaye, added that it was satisfying to have Socaloca as it would bring an unprecedented shift to football.
