Accra Hearts of Oak and Kpando Hearts of Lions will lock horns in the 2024 Gbese Mantse Homowo Charity Cup match slated for August 11, 2024.
The Homowo Cup will form part of their preparations ahead of the upcoming Ghana premier league and MTN FA Cup campaign while proceeds from the game will be given to charity.
The Homowo Charity Cup match is an annual game which is held during the period of the Homowo festival and it is usually played between Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics.
However, organisers of the game have confirmed that this year’s game will rather see the Phobians go head-to-head with Heart of Lions.
Ahead of the much-anticipated encounter, the Local Organising Committee of the Homowo Cup will hold a it’s press conference on Tuesday, July 23, at the palace of the Gbese Mantse, Ussher Fort, in Accra.
Hearts of Oak were recently in action when they were defeated 2-1 by Asante Kotoko in the inaugural edition of the Democracy Cup.
