Dumasua Nkosuohene donates Police station to Sunyani West headquarters

The Nkosuohene of Dumasua in the Sunyani West district of the Bono region, Nana Ayebiafo Jnana, has donated a state-of-the-art Police station and office complex to the Ghana Police Service.

The newly constructed two-storey building will serve as the Sunyani West Police Divisional Headquarters.

The comprehensive facility comprises six office rooms, juvenile cells, separate male and female cells, a conference room, and six bedrooms, each complete with a kitchen, toilet, and bathroom.

The building is also equipped with six CCTV cameras to monitor and deter criminal activities, with plans to extend surveillance coverage throughout the community to bolster security further.

During the launch ceremony, Nana Ayebiafo Jnana remarked that he is committed to supporting the government’s efforts in developing the community by providing essential resources.

He expressed that the new police facility would play a crucial role in enhancing security and combating crime in Dumasua and its neighbouring areas.

Nana Ayebiafo shared his ambitious vision for the Dumasua community, outlining a seven-year plan designed to transform the area into a prominent tourist destination within the Bono region.

In response to the donation, Bono Regional Minister, Justina Owusu-Banahene conveyed her appreciation to Nana Ayebiafo Jnana for his generous gesture.

She encouraged the community to support the Police in their efforts to combat crime and safeguard the new facility.

Madam Owusu-Banahene called on the Police Service to ensure the building and its resources are properly maintained.

COP Okyere-Darko Asumadu, Director General of Services, representing the Inspector General of Police (IGP), praised the Nkosuohene for his contribution.

He assured that the Police Service would diligently maintain the new equipment and facilities and provide professional security services to Dumasua and its surrounding areas.
