Muntaka Mubarak to be vetted today

The Parliament Appointment Committee today is set to vet Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, the Minister-Designate for the Interior.

As Interior Minister, Muntaka’s duties will involve ensuring the effective operation of these agencies to maintain law and order, address emerging security threats, and uphold the rule of law.

He will also play a critical role in shaping policies that promote stability, peace, and sustainable development in Ghana.

Representing Asawase since 2005, Muntaka has built a reputation as one of the country’s most influential politicians.

He previously served as the Minister for Youth and Sports under the late President John Evans Atta Mills’ administration, where he played a pivotal role in promoting youth empowerment and advancing sports development, despite facing numerous challenges.

As an MP, Muntaka has consistently and actively participated in parliamentary proceedings, gaining respect across party lines for his insight, dedication, and efforts towards national development.
