GFA President Kurt Okraku Secures Seat on CAF Executive Committee

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has secured a seat on the
Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Mr. Okraku contested unopposed and will serve a four-year term from 2025 to 2029 on the 24-member committee.

The victory marks a significant milestone for Ghanaian football, as Okraku’s inclusion in CAF’s decision-making body strengthens the country’s influence in continental football affairs.
Okraku, who has served as GFA President since 2019, has been instrumental in Ghana’s football reforms,
grassroots development, and strengthening ties with international football bodies.

His new position on CAF’s Executive Committee is expected to enhance Ghana’s football representation and contribute to key policy decisions shaping African football.

With this achievement, Okraku follows in the footsteps of distinguished Ghanaian football administrators such as Ohene Djan, Kobina Hagan, Nana Fredua Mensah, Samuel Okyere, and Kwesi Nyantakyi, who have previously served on the CAF Executive Committee.
