President John Dramani Mahama has called on Black Stars players to demonstrate the same level of dedication and commitment they exhibit at their respective clubs when representing the national team.
His Excellency the President visited the black stars during their third tanning session at the Accra sport stadium to encourage them ahead of their crucial world cup qualifiers game against Chad on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
It has become a concern for the national team that while players excel at the highest level with their respective clubs, they often fail to replicate the same performance when representing Ghana, leaving fans unable to enjoy their talents as consistently
as they do at the club level.
Addressing the squad ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar, Mahama emphasized the importance of unity and hard work in restoring Ghana’s football glory.
“We expect you to bring the same dedication you show at your club to the national team,” he stated.
With the Black Stars aiming to secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Mahama expressed confidence in theteam’s ability to deliver strong performances and make the nation proud.
The Black stars are currently 3rd on the table with 9 points a win on Friday night will put the Black stars in a better position for qualification.
