Workers of Team-based Volta Aluminium Company (VALCO) are demanding the resignation of Reindorf Tumasi Ankrah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana international (GIADEC),
During the protest, Samuel Agyeman, the local union chairmen, urged the President to remove Ankrah from office, citing Ankrah’s alleged desperation and spread of misinformation. The union maintains that VALCO is not losing $45 million.

According to the union VALCO has momentous potential capacity to operate without any outer pressure ,they argued that claims of losses depth frequently raised by the CEO are inflatedand debated frame to validate the push of investment.
The union also raised concerns about the government -led effect to attract what it described as ” strategic investors ” wrangling that ,the process impactfully amount to divesting the company. They are calling for the intermission of such a plan to allow for exhaustive analysis of VALCO’s concrete viable and financial potential
