DVLA Reports Strong Revenue Growth in First Quarter of 2026

The Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced a significant rise in revenue following the expansion and modernization of its operations since 2025.

According to the Authority, improvements in service delivery, increased digitisation, and stronger compliance measures have contributed to enhanced financial performance across its offices nationwide.

The most notable growth was recorded in the first quarter of 2026, from January to March, during which the DVLA posted a 67 per cent increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2025.

Officials say the surge reflects the positive impact of ongoing reforms within the institution, signalling that recent changes are beginning to yield measurable results.

In a statement, the DVLA attributed the performance largely to operational expansion and improved efficiency in service delivery.

The Authority added that its digital transformation initiatives and upgraded compliance systems have helped reduce delays, streamline processes, and improve the overall customer experience.

Reaffirming its commitment to sustaining the progress, the DVLA said it will continue to prioritise innovation, stricter enforcement, and greater transparency.

The statement further noted that the Authority remains focused on building a modern, efficient licensing system capable of meeting public demand while contributing meaningfully to national revenue mobilisation and development.
