BoG Warns Public Against “Daily Wealth Guide” Investment Scam

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have warned the public against a purported cryptocurrency investment platform known as “Daily Wealth Guide.”

In a joint statement, the regulators described the platform as a scam and urged Ghanaians not to deposit money with its operators.

According to the regulators, individuals behind the platform are allegedly using promises of unusually high returns to lure unsuspecting members of the public into what amounts to illegal deposit-taking.

The warning follows the circulation of a doctored video purportedly showing President John Dramani Mahama endorsing the investment platform.

The BoG and SEC have clarified that the video is fake and should not be relied upon as evidence of government endorsement or regulatory approval of “Daily Wealth Guide.”

The public has therefore been urged to exercise caution and avoid sending funds to the operators of the platform.
