Ga Mantse Advocates Stronger Alliance Between Zongo Leaders and Traditional Authorities

The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has called for a deeper partnership between Zongo community leaders and traditional authorities to foster peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and accelerated local development across the country.

Speaking at the Zongo Chiefs Conference in Accra, organized under the theme “The Zongo Development Agenda,” the Paramount Chief of the Ga State emphasized that Zongo communities must be supported in maintaining their distinct cultural identity and leadership structures while operating harmoniously within the customary frameworks of their host traditional areas.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II urged leaders on both sides to establish clear, permanent communication channels to proactively address and resolve local grievances before they escalate into friction.

The Ga Mantse cautioned that traditional authority should serve as a unifying force rather than a point of friction, emphasizing that constructive engagement remains the most effective path toward sustainable development.

“Authority should never become a source of division,” King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II stated, advocating continuous dialogue and public education to navigate misunderstandings.

Concluding his address, the King noted that establishing a respectful, collaborative relationship between Zongo chiefs and traditional custodians creates a solid foundation for social stability, economic growth, and community empowerment across all jurisdictions.
