The Adenta Circuit Court has granted Salomey Awiti Baffoe bail of GH¢100,000 with two sureties, both of whom must be civil servants earning a minimum monthly salary of GH¢3,000.
Salomey Awiti Baffoe is facing allegations of being an accomplice to controversial Ghanaian TikToker Ghana Jollof.
She was represented in court by the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, who welcomed the court’s decision to grant her bail.
Salomey Awiti Baffoe was arrested on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at her residence in Hansua, near Techiman in the Bono East Region.
Her arrest attracted public attention following reports that she was taken from her home in the early hours of the morning.
The 40-year-old mother of three was reportedly taken away at about 11:30 p.m. by three individuals who identified themselves as National Security operatives.
According to reports, her family subsequently struggled to establish her whereabouts. At the time, both the Bono East Regional Police Command and regional National Security officials were reportedly unable to confirm the operation or provide information on her whereabouts.
The circumstances surrounding her arrest subsequently generated public concern, with attention focused on the involvement of alleged National Security operatives and the basis for her detention.
